I replaced my vavle stem seals and now I am faced with a new problem of setting the timing. When I moved each cylinder, it messed up the timing, right? I was told to remove the bottom cover but can’t because I can’t get the crankshaft pulley bolt off. I can’t take it to a shop because I don’t think I should start put all the parts together and start it up if the engine timing could be off. That could bend or break valves, right? Is there any way to check the timing if the valve cover is on? Could I break off the valve cover, set the timing and then buy a new one. If I take it to get it done professionally, where should I go and who should I ask? Sorry so long, thanx if you can help.
damn. only if you lived by me i could do it for you in like 20mins.
If you didn’t remove or loosen the timeing belt or distributor your timing is just like it was.
