Shaking when braking....(hey that rhymes!)

Ok here’s the deal. When I’m braking if I hit the brake hard enough at a certain speed my steering wheel shakes and my driver door sometimes rattles. I think that is the window in it. If any of you know what causes this please tell me. Oh yeah my front tires definately need replacing. I just got the car yesterday and the fronts are worn.

could be afew things

warped rotors
u need a wheel alignment
blown shock.

I agree with the warped rotors. When I bought new rotors the shaking stopped completely. You might try to resurface the rotors first since that’s more cost effective. But check BAM’s other options as well.

BAM is wrong… a wheel alignment will do NOTHING for you. a wheel alignment is ONLY to correct for abnormal tire wear and/or lack of controll of the vehicle (car pulls to left or right when driving straight). i had the same problem and it was in fact simply the rotors that need to be replaced. so instead of using the same factory b.s. i switched to cross drilled units all around, and put in some carbon inpregnated pads as well… freakin car stops on a dime now … and nomo shakin goin on baby hahahhaha… you could possibly jus have a shop re surface them, but if they are or will be (after the resurface) too thin youll have the same problem before you know it… change at least your two font tires and pop on some new rotors and your as good as new man…

THanks guys. I appreciate your help. I love you people! (not in a gay way though:p )

MY CAR DOES THE SAME…CHECK YOU RACK N PINION BOOTS…THATS WHY MINE DOES IT. 20-30 $

Once again…Thanks man.

this is ususlly caused by hot spots on the rotors. take them off and get them resurfaced

Couldnt it also be the motor mounts? My car does the same thing. Ill check the rotors first.
