Shaved Antenna...NEW Accord Antenna Replacement????'s

Ive got a 90RS with the janky non-powered antenna. I plugged the whole and want to use the radio still. I bought the hidden antenna from Autoloc and it’s crap. I get no signal unless the excess wires are hanging outside the car. However, after reading a post i think maybe the ground is not very good (which it isn’t, didn’t know that it had to be a super great ground). WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK HERE??

My other solution is using the antenna from newer accords. They are hidden but its some sort of module, that has to be grounded, an antenna wire with extra plugs at each end and it looks like the module has an extra plug(i dont know where that goes). So if anyone knew or could enlighten me on any of these options or maybe suggest a better way and still keep clean lines. (i.e. - no fuba)…i’d appreciate it. Thanks

man if you had posted this like 10 min earlyer. i just got the autolock hidden antenna. i hope i have better luck than you. try redoing the ground and post up what happens

sure will man, give me about 3-4 hours from now…still at work im probably going to move the antenna around a bit. Right now it is on the back glass. I’ll keep ya informed.

This… http://www.scosche.com/scosche_caraudio.aspx?CategoryID=76&ItemID=WMA is one of the best “hidden” or “intenna” I have used, I have installed about 50 of them over the years, it is amplified, so reception is very good with excellent range.:up:94

Does it just plug into the back of the radio like stock or what?

Yes it does, however it still needs a ground, and a switched power connection.:dozing: 94

Just mount the antenna under the car like I did. I got way better reception.

looks like tegboi is getting a new antenna too! hahaha

im tired of my radio cutting itself off every once in a while i go over a bridge or something. haha
