Long story short sheared off the shift knob completely off the shifter. Any temporary solution you guys can think of until I can order a new one? There are no more threads on the shifter.
And any recommendation on shifters to purchase?
Thanks for your attention.
Use a tap/die set to re-thread the shifter? Thats what we had to do in my brothers car to get him by. Oh, and an extractor to get the broken shifter out of the shift knob.
I had the same thing happen to me but I had enough thread left on the shifter I was able to but the stock shift knob back on. I would say you should look into getting a B&M short shifter.
i know stock shifters, and alot of tapered under the threads, get bigger to about 3/4" inch. just get a new shifter and when you take the old one out sell it to me. i want it ! I really do.
get a shift knob that uses set screws to hold it on
