One of the only things I think Honda messed up on was they did not allow the steering IMO to come down as far as I’d like it to go. If they would have let it go down 3/8 of an inch more it would feel better to drive and sportier, also the top of the wheel would not block some view over the dash. Does anyone else feel the same way?? I know I can fix it easy by adding some washers under there where it Bolts up. But I Fear to be driving along at 130km and have my steering go on me, lets just say it wouldn’t be a nice situation. Anyone care to comment?
you mean the tilt of the wheel? what are you 4 foot 9?
yes, basically the tilt. im 5’7, it has nothing to do with my ht.
I’m not trying to say your lying or anything, but i’ve let my friend who is 5’6" drive my car and he said he wishes the steering wheel was lower. Now i’m 6’1" and the steering wheel is fine for me. If your putting in washers make sure to put in longer bolts if you put alot of washers. Also dont put too many or the steering may bind up from having to much of an angle.
Yah, Longer Bolts, also I dont need to go past half inch. The thing that scares me is if the gear of the steering shaft misses and I lost steering completely while driving, which would or could be deadly. And I DONT want that to happen. But on the other hand, It would be nice to bring it down a bit.
I’ll agree with you on the lower steering wheel. I’m 5’ 6" and wish it were lower as well, but I just deal with it.
Are you using the stock steering wheel or an aftermarket one with a smaller diameter? I replaced the stock wheel with a Momo and I have the steering angle positioned between the top and bottom of the adjustment range. At the bottom end of the adjustment range the top of the steering wheel is eating into my line of sight onto the instrument panel.
how does this work? im 5’5 and with the wheel all the way down i think its perfect lol
im 5’8 and i think it’s fine. Unless your sitting in some bride seats…haha
torralba: you mean you have a wheel that the top is of lower sight then the highest part of the dash? Id like mine like that, by the way mine’s stock, and i dont want to get rid of it.
:bump: I really would like to hear from anyone who has done this or anyone who was thinking about doing this.
6’0 n its completely fine for me and i have corbeau buckets
I’m 5’9" and its fine for me.
