How can you tell if there blown. The driver side is lower than the passenger side. But then again the car been in a wreck.
look for leaking (wet spot) and if you push down on the corner - it should come back up and settle. If it continues to bounce up & down its blown.
if it was in a wreck, look for bent suspension pieces, or maybe someone swapped in a civic strut which might be shorter or have a softer spring rate.
I read some tips with 4 Wheel Online blog on how to check if the shocks are still working, 1 way is by pressing the vehicle it should bounce once or twice and also there should be no noise at all. Check also for any trace of fluid leaking in the shocks body.
