ok soo i just got another da with a gsr and i have a short some where it keeps blowing my turn fuse that works the cluster lights, turn signals anyone know where to look to fix this?
Turn signals and dash lights, [cluster lights] are on two diff. fuses.
Signal lights are on fuse 1 - 10A (91-93) and fuse 23 - 10A (90), [hot when ign. is in run or start] in under dash fuse box.
Dash lights are on fuse 11 - 15A, [hot when park/head lights are on] in under dash fuse box.
So the question is which fuse is blowing?
Also, when does the fuse blow, as soon as you put it in or when you try and use the signal lights or dash lights?
Also, do the hazard lights work?:hmm:94
thanks for the quick reply but yeah its the number 23 fuse when it blows my signal lights and gauges dont work my hazard lights come on theres no seat beats they where cut out maybe it could be a short from one of the wires to the automatic seat beats i’m assuming it had?
oh and the fuse blows when i turn the key sometimes and when i start the car sometimes sometimes they stay on i just got the car on sat.
OIC, the gauges themselves, [not the gauge cluster lights], that would make sense as the gauges are also on fuse 23.
If the hazard lights work then the problem is not the signal lights, as both the signal lights and hazard lights use the same wiring from the hazard switch to the signal light bulbs, although the problem could be between the fuse and the hazard light switch, my guess is the problem must be in the gauge cluster itself, to confirm this pull the cluster out and unplug it and install the fuse, if the fuse does not blow you will need to replace the cluster.:idea:94
ok i took out the cluster and started up the car and the fuse still blew the car has some dumb push button start on it could it be that not wired right?
fixed it this morning went threw the whole car looking for loose connections and found it had alot of wires loose fixed those while i was at it thanks for the help
