Well I just got my short throw shifter installed a few days ago. How many pieces come in the poly urethane bushing set cause i seem to remember only getting 2 pieces, but after the installation, i got back 2 pieces and a washer. Now there is hum vibration sound emenating from under the shifter boot, and i was curious if the washer should still be in the car. What do you guys think!!! Thanks
there are two pieces to the shifter bushing set. I think you should put the washer back in. I know that when i did my install there weren’t any left over parts. check out the teg tips to see some pics of what it should all look like, before and after.
as for the hum, is it a “hum” or more of a “rattle” ?? cause a rattle is pretty normal, but i’ve never heard a hum.
The hum or rattle is probable the counter weight on your shift linkage rubbing up against the exhaust. That happens to a lot of short shifters on DA’s.
