*sigh* more problems

The car doesn’t die, but it idles really low. Like, around 0-200, then it’ll come back up and idle at 500-700. I bought a new distributor, distibutor housing, rotor, spark plugs and wires. I adjusted the idle speed to the max until I get **** fixed. I know at least one of my vacuum hoses has a small hole in it.

When driving, the car will redline at like 3500. The check engine light is on.

you should check the rest of the hoses that could be an air leak, you should also check the AICV.

What’s the AICV?

I noticed when I let out my clutch it squeaks and then makes a sound like air is coming out. When you push it back it the air still sounds like it’s coming out but then stops after a while.

 clutch and air?

Hey-
You said you have an engine light on.

I cant think of a easier way to find out whats wrong with your ride.

Please find out what code your throwing
and report back.:tsk:

you do know to raise the idle you have to turn that screw counterclockwise right? It seems a little backwards but it works…

iacv? idle air control valve. its on the rear of the intake manifold, has two coolant hoses going into it vertically from the bottom. it lets more air in during startup and when cold i think.
if you bypass it, you get the fluctuating rpms. not sure where to go from there tho
