I want the signal lights to turn on with the headlight i read the 2 headlines about it which is pretty confusing anybody have a easier way ? but i want my signals to blink at same slow rate …
Your question is confusing.:dunno:
It sounds like you want the signal lights to come on when you turn on the head lights, my question is why, and what would you use for signal lights?:hmm: 94
the bumper lights is what i ment, i just dont get the tips to how to do it on g2ic tips section, kinda confusing i was wondering if anyone can re-explain that.
heres the link

i know theres a way to wire it without having a fast blinking turn signal and thats what i want.
at least on G3s, i’ve read that the heat will melt the housing if a bulb is to be constantly left on like that.
edit: ah its on the teg-tip
but you can do it with a relay available from radio shack.
OIC, I think, you want your front signal lights, [the one’s mounted in the front clip] to work like your front side markers, blink on when using the signal or hazard lights, turn on when park/head lights are turned on, and blink off when signal or hazard lights are used with park/head lights on.
If so, there are a few ways to do it, keeping in mind, ez12a is correct, the front signal light was not designed to be on constantly, [get a lower watt bulb].
The front side markers are controlled by the ICU, you can use the left, [green/white] and right, [green/red] outputs to the side markers to control a pair of SPST, [parallel connection, supply the relays with power from an ign. source, [2nd ign. free pin in under dash fuse box], rewire the front signal lights, [left, (green/blue) and right, (green/yellow)] to the relays, don’t forget to cap off the front signal light leads you are no longer using.
The added load of the relays coil should not speed up the blink enough to notice
Supplies needed, [done properly]…
Two SPST relays, [a SPDT relay will also work].
Two relay sockets, [a connected pair is best] with pig tails.
Solder, shrink tube and electrical tape, split loom.
Mount relays under dash, drives side, close to fuse box.
The ICU is mounted to the back of the fuse box, the outputs from the ICU to the front side markers are in one of the plugs coming from the fuse box, they will be connected in parallel, one to each relay’s #85 terminal/pig tail, ground the #86 terminals/pig tails, connect terminal/pig tail #30 to the 2nd. ign. free pin on the fuse box, [use a 5A fuse].
Here’s the tricky part, my schematic indicates a parallel connection of the leads for the front signal, ICU, return to hazard switch and rear signal lights between the signal light switch and the ICU, I don’t know where that is in a G2, but if you can find them, you can disconnect the leads running to the front signal lights from the ones going into the ICU, and connect the front signal lights to terminal/pig tail #87 of the proper relay for that side.
It’s neat and tidy, relays and all connections are inside the car.:whisper: 94
and a big hug to fcm:hugs:
