I am looking into getting a Skunk2 IM and was wondering what kind of gains I would see from it? All I have for mods are a drop in K&N and the mode ram air in teg tips

are there any other IM that I should look for that respond well on our tegs?

don’t waste your money on an IM, just get a header or look into ls/vtec, etc

without other mods, the skunk2 won’t show you much gains at all…

get the skunk2 intake manifold when you upgrade cams and throttle body. that’s when it will shine as an upgrade. the skunk2 piece is a great intake manifold for your car.

I was also wondering if you would have to get a new TB if you get a new IM. I wouldn’t think you would but not too sure. However I was thinking of doing that in one shot, TB and IM that is. are there any brands of bigger TB’s that’ll work on say the Skunk2 IM?

well, you dont have to upgrade the TB at the same time as the IM, but it is advised… the one thing you have to (well you dont have to…) do is to port match the TB to the IM, that way you will actually be able to capitalize on the bigger size of the TB.

there are tons of companies that make TBs for tegs, try summitracing.com and you can also look for …prelude TB, and the ITR, they are bigger than stock, and might be cheaper than brand new ones from summit
