Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with the Skunk2 line of sport shocks?
I always see them on line for a very low price (e-ghey, options auto, etc…). Just was curious
if these were a good value as a sport shock/strut for lowered vehicle application or if this is just another cheapo might-as-well-be Napa replacements.
skunk 2 is skunk 2. good stuff. they are the cheaper shocks, but mighty fine. i used them on my setup for awhile but they do wear out over time…couple years. they arnt much for track racing…they arnt stiff enough, but on a normal ls, they are plenty good. try them if you wanna buy something new, u will like them.
Thanks for the info. I just plan to use them for daily driving use. I just wanted a decent drop shock that wont blow out so fast and provide a decent ride. Plus the price is right
I got them, yes they didnt seem stiffer but where better then stock the ride was nice. I have had them for about 2 1/2 years and they are going out as time go’s on. I got them for 200 off ebay when they first came out. I couldnt pass up the price. they are 300 now so iam not sure id get them for that much. but if your not that low and i wasnt till i changed rims and lowered it more then maybe there last a lill longer. hope that helps some.
Probably going to go with Tanabe DF210. I had the on my last DA and they gave a pretty nice ride while the handling felt more stable over stock. The only thing I didn’t like was that although they say it is a 2.5 F,2.25 R it seemed to have “reverse rake”. And yes, they were installed correctly. Has anyone had a good experience with a spring set that provided an equal or “forward rake” stance. I’m not going for slammed (I’m 32 now, had enough of that in my mini-truckin" phase), I want a good ride good handling performance and good stance (i.e. elimination of wheel gap with 15"s).
