I ordered a rear sunshade from slamBlkak. He said it was in “perfecto shape”. Now i have bought used parts before and perfect to me means some scratches just minor things. When i opened the package the part was packaged fine but there is like a four inch crack that goes right under one of the mounting holes. To me that isnt perfect i was fine with the scratches but for $120 i dont want any cracks cause the crack will keep growing until the parts breaks off. I used to be a shipping supervisor and for all the stuff i shipped the damage looks like it happened before shipping. I have had the opportunity to buy cracked or damaged parts before but i didnt but them cause they were damaged. I dont want the sunshade and id like my money back. His post is still active in the parts for sale in the us. I have emailed slamBlkak and sent him the pics but no response. hopefully this will help.
so why don’t you make a parcel claim with whoever it was shipped by? If that was broken in shipping, he really can’t do a whole lot for you.
Because it doesnt look like the damage was from the shipping process. it looks like it happened when it was either not tightened down all the way and cracked from the wind or like it was pryed off. So if thats the case then it isnt the shipping company’s fault at all. And I did make a claim with UPS. They came and picked it up and said they are goin to investigate the problem.
I have a sunshade off mine sitting in my parents gerage collecting dust…how much you wanna give me for it?

and i just hope no one thinks bad of me now… im in aww that came in broken, the ups store package it up, and put like hundreds of pounds of packing peanuts in there…

Im not trying to give you a bad name and i hope this doesnt do that. I just posted it cause it was recieved broken. Im glad that you actually replied and not just tell me oh well not my fault. Im surprised that it came damaged for how it was packaged. Still no word back from UPS… I’m gonna keep calling til they give me an answer i dont see whats so hard for them to do.
well i called UPS and they said that they faxed the damage claim to Staples (the location it was shipped from) and they said that if staples doenst fax them back the claim info that im basically out the money i paid for the sunshade and the sunshade itself. WTF im never getting anything shipped UPS again if they cant stand by their shipments then what good are they. I guess Fed Ex is the way to go from now on. I even asked UPS if they check back on claims and they said NO its out of our hands. And as i said it my last post it turns out its not Slamblkak’s fault its UPS’s. Thanks for cooperating.
Wow so i thought this would have been done by now… Still waiting but now im waiting for SlamBlkak to take his reciept to staples so i can finally get the money for the damaged sunshade. Turns out that it is his responsibility to go to the place he shipped it from and put the claim information in. Last time i talked to him was about 2 weeks ago and no response from him yet. Hopefully this whole ordeal will be coming to an end soon.
