Yess as it says, I have a clutch that is slap happy.
Here is whats up, anytime i engage the clutch it like "slaps into place and you can hear it “slap” in. there is no loss in grip or anything but it just goes “clap clap” hehehe. is there and adjustment needed or somthing.
Thanks for some words dudes.
BTW this article is not for those seeking masterbating tips… ROFL j/k
is it the stock clutch or an after market one? just cuase the clutch chatters does not mean its bad. i bout a new one from clutch masters and it chatters like a bitch cuase its a performance clutch, thats what they do. that happened in my brothers 5.0 my friends prelude and my car.
I disagree with you on that Turbo1.8Hybrid. Not entirely - but in general, clutch chatter is NOT a good thing. As I previously stated, clutch chatter is caused by a warped fly wheel. When you replaced your clutch(s) w/ a performance clutch (which i currently run an exedy organic face performance clutch, no chatter) did you have the fly wheel machined down to specs? If not… Thats why there is clutch chatter… and chatter will result in quicker wear in your clutch. (warped flywheel means less amount of the clutch disc is actually touching the flywheel on engagement. quicker wear, etc)
good news, clutch chatter disapeared after the lifters were adjusted and somthng i did to the lash as well, now she purrs and does not chatter, I have a centerforce clutch. hehe
acturaly yeah i got it in a junk yard and rebuilt it up, the only thing i could not do was to rebuild the engines heads i just ordered them for like 85 bucks apeice. hehe cheap americana. :>
anyway she is way the hell not street legal and a buddy of mine now owns it because he races and i get a nice 55 % winners fee. hehehe
