sleepy DA9

Hey guys. Just picked up a 91 ls coupe da9 for a killer price. Ended up being a wiring nightmare. The previous owner tried doing some of his own wiring harnesses and it is a mess to say the least. It did, however, come with a full fairly clean interior and a semi decent body and paint. I’m going to be doing a complete restoration on this with a motor build and exterior clean up. A huge majority of this is going to be done by me so it may be slow paced at times but i believe the end result will be worth it. Anyway, i hope to get some feed back and make some friends in the process. In the mean time, here are some photos to give you all an idea of what I’m working with. Hope you all enjoy.

Wow! I haven’t seen that style front bumper in a long time! Good luck with your project!

Yea its pretty ol school ricer but it came with the car and I’m waiting to get one piece headlights and 92-93 spec bumpers.

3rd day of straight rain has foiled my plan to figure out the wiring issues I’m having. Im pretty sure it has to do with my accessories harness. It wasn’t plugged in when i bought the car and I’m not quite sure why. I do miss having dash and interior lights though.

Good meeting you today Adam!

Good luck with the project. It’s a black widow kit !!! lol

It was good meeting you too zach. Your da is even nicer in person. Its gonna be cool watching your build progress even further.
Thanks for the heads up on the bodykit. I just call it fugly lol. I was looking at the potential of the car when i bought it. In the next month or so the kit will be on a shelf as a reminder of the 90s. It time now to start sanding the car down and getting to the body work needed to clean it up a bit. Also, I’m contemplating removing my side moldings just to make the body line flow better.

havent posted an update in awhile, so here goes. picked up an oem 93 front bumper, tokico illumina shocks with tanabe df210 coils, skunk2 pro plus front upper camber kit and a new set of front drilled and slotted rotors at one stop. the price seemed too good to be true, but when i got there i was blown away. shocks and springs were almost new, just a little dirty. camber kit had almost no wear and the rotors were new in the box.

spray bombed the bumper black and got rid of the rear wiper

bodywork started but electrical gremlins took me off gaurd.
