Slight wobble in tires (tie rod end). Question.

I have a very slight wobble in both of my front tires, but moreso on the passenger side. Anyhow, when i had the car jacked up yesterday, I was able to wobble the tire very very slightly side-to-side. There is absolutely no up/down wobble. I know this means the tie-rod ends are wearing out, although one was replaced literally 2 months ago.

Anyhow, being a VERY slight wobble (we’re talking total wobble of about 1/16" or even only 1/32" or so), is this really bad or can it be left alone for now? I’d rather not replace both tie rod ends as they run up the monthly maintenance bill ($35/each + labour from a friend).

Also, on a somewhat related note, do I need an alignment after replacing the Lower Ball Joint on my drivers’ side?

Thanks,
~Eric

leave it for now, but definitely keep an eye on things and when it gets worse, it’s time to replace 'em. you should be okay for a little while though as long as you’re not tracking the car.

Thanks, I definately appreciate the quick help.
