if the battery light just came on at the same time the smoke came in then might be your alternator belt went out, and is caught up somewhere burning up.
my .02 anyways

i checked the belt and it looks fine. its not touching anything, theres no fluids on it, its not ripped or anything.
Wow… never heard that before… maybe a cat crawled up in the engine bay and his skull got all chewed up on the belts when you started the car :vomit:
check if your fan works… when i first baught my car i turned my fan on and after a couple mins it started smoking really bad… it turned out to be moisture where the fan resistor is located. i went to the junkyard picked up a used one and its back to normal.

could be a wire shorting out somewhere. that smoke would be burning wire(s).
happened in my vw before. big mess. lots of wire repair. not fun. does everything work accordingly?

yes. everything is working. i tried to leave in on a little longer with hopes that something just crawled in somewhere and died but when i did the some came from under the hood this time.
alot of thick white smoke. and it all came from the left side where the alternator is. i think thats what it is. ill post a video of whats goin on…
