Smoother Ride?

I used the search function and I came across a few articles that were related, but not exactly the same question.

My car has horrible shocks. It bounces hard like astro jump hard. I was wondering what kind of suspension I should get to get rid of the bounce on a budget, and have a good smooth ride at the same time? I’m new to these cars and I’m not really familiar with suspension (at all). Please and thanks for the help and sorry if this has already been answered.

Try Eibach sportline springs with Tokico HP or Illumina shocks.

The springs will be about $150 and the shocks will be about $250-$450.

OEM FTW

Good used OEM struts with H n R Sport Coils.

Smooth ride with improved cornering. I was very happy with them. I thought it was the perfect compromise of sport vs comfort. I would keep driving on those but I want to move into something fully adustable. For around $200 you cant beat a setup like this. I have had zero problems in 2 years.

Just check yoru area on craigslist for decently low mielage struts and see what you can find. Grab some used H n R’s and your set!

Smooth ride on a budget? Watch the FS forum - people always parting out cars with perfectly good used OEM suspension on them.

First though, I’d make sure you don’t have adjustables on there. I always set my Koni Yellows to the max and, depending on the road, was quite rough on my back. But it handled like a go-kart

I’m sure if you post some pics of your suspension (not the tops, from inside the wheel well - lift the car to get a better shot) g2ic members would be happy to tell you what they think you may have - if you don’t already know, that is.
