As a Canadian (where only manual belts were sold), I have yet to experience automatic seatbelts in anything. I would feel like a boss if I had them.
haha i grew up with auto seatbelts thanks to my parents choice of early 90s cars. i cant picture my life without em
I like automatic seat belts. Never understood why everyone else hates them around here. A lot of my passengers are retarded and put the shoulder belt behind them when they get in the car. Then they wonder why they get their face planted onto the dash when they open the door lol.
I like how Ubergringo put it. “i cant picture my life without em” Haha.
I love my automatic seatbelts. They’re fun, I never forget to put my seatbelt on as it just always does it for you. The downside is, when they brake, malfunction or just stop working… the real fun begins. I’ve had to fix my passenger side belt as it fell off the track. PITA. But other than that, they’re cool.
chicks always think its a wayy nicer car if u got em
I love them when they work. I got to make the 2 hour trip to Mobile, AL to drop my DB off at the Acura dealer for them to warrinty them!
Yeah I love em, but I hate having to tell every new passenger to the DA that the seatbelts fastens for you. & they still manage to forget after 5 mins tellin them. lol smh.
Ditto!
One downfall that I’ve experienced plenty of times while doing recent work on the interior, is the fact that the retractable buckle stays toward the front (by the windshield) and when you come up quick, you realize how much they hurt and how hard your head truly is…
I love them. They strangle everyone i secretly dislike and let ride in my car anyways. *High five to my passenger seatbelt.
i honestly do like the ones in our cars the most though. I drove an escort through high school and this had auto seatbelts but the belts when fully retracted would sit higher than my head. This was so annoying as it would constantly catch my ears and hit my head. the ones in our car sit so much lower it really doesn’t feel uncomfortable. This car taught me to buckle up in cars.

This FTW! If I feel like a laugh, I simply ‘forget’ to warn said passenger, and watch with a grin.
I like the auto belts though… knock on wood I’ve yet to have issues with mine.
Their BOSS ! I always thought to get the manual belts but how cool is it to have your car do it for you? Awesome! And I think its funny when people get in my car then when its time to get out, they go and reach to detach the seat belt and they get that clueless look on their face, priceless ! They rarely ever have problems unless you have some type of short in your electrical system in your DA. Its pretty simple to fix it when it gets stuck, if it ever does.
lmao.
Never had a seatbelt citation. Never will either. I cant say that I was too lazy to put on my seatbelt to patrol a officer. Real simple. Get in, close the door, and let the seatbelt do the rest while you start up your car and drive off. Less haslle vice versa, unless you got a cold drink in your face and you stupidly open your door (silly passengers).
As cool as Honda was in '90-'93 when they made the Integra with the Auto roll-down window, auto seatbelts and the like, where the hell were they with the idea of a decent cup holder? Jeeez!!
yeah really! WTF honda? i gotta say i kinda don’t mind a whole lot because i don’t let any one besides me take any kind of drink in my car. but i have to hang on to my coffee every morning the whole way to work so i don’t spill any on my poor car lol. no smoking in my car either! but on the topic of automatic seatbelts, i love how every person disconnects the belt by the window then shuts the door and looks around all confused. then after explaining to them how the seatbelt works they still disconnect it when i stop. ha ha ha ha ha. :bang:
Did your DA not come with the cup holders in the glovebox?
… you should be slapped with that nonsense!!
They were there…
If you had manual seatbelts!!!
Lifetime warranty on automatic seat belts! I bought my car with the driver side not working and they replaced it free of charge and gave me a courtesy vehicle. 2010 Acura TSX and TL boy I love those cars when you abuse the shit out of them
