Sohc da?????

G23 is done with a F23 block, K20 pistons and H22 head. Or u can keep the stock F23 pistons and add a buttload of boost.

How well fond series take boost? Just boost the he’ll out of it

That’s another option I’m considering. F-series hold boost pretty well so we will see what it does with the K20 pistons.

what’s the torque on an f series?

Why not just boost as ls…

Will you swap in drum brakes in the rear after? You could disconnect your tach as well and duct tape a wallmart clock in it’s place. The whole thing seems regressive to me. I remember when I had my 4 speed civic hatch and wanted disks in the rear, a tach, and DOHCs. I bought an integra for all those reasons and it seems like your are trying to go backwards, hence my prior comments.

F23a have like 150hp/156tq (9.6:1 cr)
As for boosting the LS, I wanna see what I can do with the single cam first.

All motor SOHC built by Collective in Tucson, AZ.
Everyone WILL say why waste my time with a stupid/lame/pointless project, why not just boost an LS or jump on the K-bandwagon. My response is, why not try?

Typical response I get when I start talking about my build. I also get rediquled for not going with a 16x8 +0mm wheel with butt loads of negative camber, roof rack, tow hooks, sticker bomb my DA, and just stick with a DOHC swap.

Motivation to continue being me and building to my taste.

And did I mention… Driver happens to be a female

Oh female. So now we should just lie and tell you this is a great idea? That video is pointless, all it says is all motor. If that is an all motor sohc it had ALOT of money put in the build of it just in machining. Let alone the actual assembly if sent out to get built. Negative camber, sticker bombing and a roof rack are all not my kinda trend niether, so that was just plain dumb. K bandwagon? Maybe there might be TEN in the world? I only KNOW of 5 or 6 me being one. My opinon still stands… Pointless!

when i click that link i sure dont get a video of an integra

hahahaha… seems so true.

The power of that doesn’t even seem worth the effort in fab, why not use the time takin to drop this engine is just build a solid b series, or go crazy and do the g23…

You know every time I see this thread I get flash backs of a DC2 integra I saw at the junk yard with a actual D15y single cam swapped in it.
It looked like it was running for a good while until it ended up at the salvage yard.
Crazy shit huh, ok back to the subject.

That right there is pointless, mine on the other hand will be a lighter chassis with a better swap.

H22 is DOHC, so how does putting that head on F23 make it SOHC? I’m so lost, also first time I’ve ever heard of this so don’t flame me.

he wants to use an f series that is single over head cam, but people are building awesome motors that use the h22 head, on the f23, and call it the g23, it’s an awesome way to go…;
