The headlight fuses are not lighting up a test light with the key on and neither is the starter signal fuse. There are no bulbs in the front end so would that make the fuse not get power? The car used to start about a year ago, I thought it may be the fuel pump from sitting so long until I checked the fuses. Im finally ready to restore my db1 and im going to need some help! I always do alot research on this site too. Its been sitting for almost 9 years now, maybe it needs a computer from all of the water damage…
The car does turn over, it just does not fire up anymore.
9 year old gas tends to not ignite too well. have you flushed it and put some fresh stuff in? you’ll also wanna refresh all the fluids.
if you’re testing for power ACROSS the fuse, you won’t see any unless the circuit is complete. with the headlight bulbs out, circuit is open
when you test for power at a fuse, you ground the the neg test lead to chassis and probe the hot side of the fuse to see if there is power there
The gas is fresh. Just half the fuses aren’t working. My test light was grounded as well. Im going to try and clean all of the grounds I guess.
Head light fuses will not have power unless head light switch is on, same with starter signal fuse, no power untill starting.
Is this a 90 Integra we are talking about?
Do you hear the fuel pump priming when you turn the ign. switch on?
Water will damage the ECU/ECM, pull it out and open it up, look for water damage or if it looks like the circuit board got wet. 94
Yes this is a 90 DB1. I do not hear the fuel pump priming, so I bought one, but then when the fuses were not getting power I was wondering if it even needed a fuel pump. I will check the fuses with the headlight switch on as well as the starter signal fuse while cranking. It probably just needs the fuel pump from sitting for so long. Thanks for the help
