some help you guys are

he is angry b-cuz he has another thread, same problem, and no one repiled…honestly…i would be a little upset, cuz there is alot of “so called” honda hybrids, and engine buildup “pros” runnin around here…and not one took the chance to answer his simple question…

i c it this way…he is wrong yes…cuz maybe non of you guy really know the answer…

it was just up until two weeks ago i could answer that question when i was tryin to change my water pump and timing belt.

so because he is wrong i dont see why u goin to make it more complicated.

i read you reply…u basically said, “tighten it, or ask someone else”

anyways…lets just squash it…cuz initially he responded incorrectly to the lack of response to his topic.

so later

Good grief guys, lighten up. How come every thread that states an opinion turns into a big flamewar? And how come everybody gets offended at amerikan’s remarks? personally he cracks me up. Sorry, but I’ve noticed some trends and want to put in my 2 cents.

this message board sucks. kno one knows what freaking timing belt to use for a lsvtec… how do you expect to run the almighty 10 seconds with no timing belt… come on give me a freaking break…

I take this at face value. Are we to assume he wants to run 10 second passes? I would think he is way past timing belt issues and on to a higher plateau of knowledge. Why should he expect help after his first four words?:shy:

good point…

but i rather be the bigger man and help him…

okay this thread should be locked, it’s not getting anywhere.

like i said in my first post… not many people post on weekends (besides me and john hehe  )

and most of the “regulars” don’t frequent the engine hybrids section often. most people spend most their time in the “general discussion” area or “parts exchange”.

i dont mean to sound like a dick but i got a 102.7 feaver and i have been with out my g2 for 4 weeks …friends wont help(dsm sucks ass)… i need my baby back…

Mr. Frustrated guy:

I’m not sure how experienced you are with timing belt changes and i’m not sure if this has been properly answered through all that bickering.

If you’re sure you have the belt on the right teeth and there’s slack between the sprockets, did you put the socket wrench back on the reinstalled crank pulley bolt and turn it counter clockwise to see if it would take the slack out? This should be able to turn the front sprocket some if i remember right (then tighten the tensioner).

I havn’t done a timing belt for a while, but i seem to remember going through some slackiness business similar to this once. If you have mismatched parts, though, i wouldn’t know.

DAym Chingro, Why are you always tryin to start mess? You did the same with me. I would of answered if I seen the post, I didn’t. People have lives and are not glued to g2ic all the time. tisk tisk tisk…so many fights… BTW, lsvtec “god” I might have some questions for you in the future. I’m going to use my old ls block to make a lsvtec. NOt my b20! Since u think I’m retarded not making a crvtec with it…

Anyways. You shouldn’t have slack between the cam sprockets, bad. That means that you should use the ls timing belt. But if you use the ls belt, u have to use the ls water pump.

You also could of easily done a search on the internet to answer your question in 5 mins. Tons of info. Thats where I go…and the local shops around here too. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well… don’t say we suck and come back and ask for help… If we all suck here go some where that people are on the boards 24-7 to help you out. We are all here to help each other out. Not to bash on each other for not getting a damn answer back in 10 mins… Patience is a virtue that we must all learn. Also a sence of humor wounldn’t hurt either. All this bickering and in the end you find out that you yourself is the one with the problem and no apoloigies for saying we suck… Thanks… And ohh… that fever… stick to it.
