.J.- What doesnt work about the positive camber??

Its not that it doesn’t work, it just throws everything out of wack, like Cat said. It sounds like you lucked out and got everything to work nicely but for ‘bolting on purposes’ its just not practical because it is so much different.

Creepingdeath: I know of one guy who has the Fastbraks upgrade for the DA, but I’ve never gotten a chance to aask him about them. I’ve sat down with the new Spoon catalog three different times but its 115 pgs and I keep getting distracted with all of the engrish translations…I believe one of them, in describing the 4 pot calipers, is “like 4 flowers sliding with non- control…”
I’ll let you know,
J.

Harro everybody.

5 lug article in the works… here’s a preview:
http://universe.svwh.net/car_stuff/da_5lug/

Oh, here’s me quick releasy… 1 of two kinds that I know of that let’s you still use your horn button. <beep beep!>

Ryan… could you please help me find a hub like that. I want one too…

RyanK, nice article…can’t wait for the rest. My other question regarding this conversion and also the Fastbrakes ITR upgrade is in regards to the ITR master cylinder and proportioning valve. Are they needed/necessary in order to get ITR brake performance? Anyone with the conversion using these ITR parts as well?

Creepingdeath:
Ryan is working with the idea of using the DC(All 94+MC are the same) MC. We are not ‘totally’ sure its going to work, but it should. I know that my non-ABS pro-valve works just fine, and gives me more than enough pressure. I replaced my MC when I first installed my Spoonies, and if your still running the stock MC it would be a good idea to replace it with any real brake upgrade.
HTH,
J.

Ryank, can you tell me where I can get one of those giant bumblebees and while you’re at it can you tell me what brand steering wheel that is?

John,
My opinnion of you just dropped immensely:
(1)The wheel is Momo…err Ryan will have to tell you the model
(2)The “es Bueno Bee” is a very rare, but re-occuring character on the Simpsons…“Ah Dios Mio!”
I can’t believe you didn’t know that!!:frowning:
J.

Jason,
I guess I am a moran;)
Don’t the bees on the Simpson’s have human faces and aren’t they rehashed characters from ‘Saturday Night Live’ ?

Jason: Hey dude… not all DC master cylinders are the same. All the non-GSR and non-ITR models came with a 15/16" master just like all DA’s. GSR/ITR (same sh*t) came with a 1" master. After taking some measurements last weekend, it looks like there’ll actually be more clearance in the engine bay with the GSR/ITR mc and booster than stock DA. How bout that? Still gotta try to finagle it on though…

AMERIKAN: The steering wheel is a Momo. The quick release obviously didn’t come with the wheel or hub. Also, the giant bumble bee in my center console was a gift from my gf. It’s actually a finger puppet and he used to be a helluva lot more yellow before the sun faded his ass. :frowning:

EDIT: Creepingdeath: Our cars use the 4040 prop. valve which will be more than enough. The master cylinder, however, is not up to par. I confirmed that all non-ABS DA’s come with a 15/16" master cylinder. Still not 100% what size the ABS ones came with.

Ryank, I was under the impression the DA uses a 50/50 proportioning valve.

EHH?! Hm, in case you didn’t know, ‘4040’ is a code. A lot of Civics came with ‘3030’ prop. valves for their smaller brakes… when they upgrade, the ‘4040’ valve from many Integras makes a good upgrade. After 1995, Honda stopped stamping the codes on the prop. valves, but from what I hear, the DC GSR’s also used the ‘4040’. I’ll probably be working on my article some more later today… I find it a lot easier when I can just do a piece at a time because I keep remembering things I should throw in here and there.

Ryan,
Thanks for clearing up my fogged mind.

Thats a good write up you got going there, look foward to it’s completion.

Eric: Look at the side of your master cylinder facing the inside of the engine bay… look for the cast numbers on it. Let me know if it says 15/16" or 1" and I’ll add you to the long list of people wanting the hub. As far as I know, no one in the states carries it, but if you happen to be in Japan, Super Autobacs has a bunch of them. Catch it when it’s on sale for 9900¥.

…it’s a JDM cupholder. I’ve got two. They are actualy pretty sturdy! It holds my large Pepsi’s form The bell.

DEFINETLY!

Ok… The magic number is 1…

For those looking to upgrade there DA brakes this is some great news. If the P73(typeR) not only fits, but aleviates some of the awkwardness present in that corner of the engine bay…“Si es MUY Bueno!”; 1" here we come! Your 100% Mr. K, I was toking hard on the crack pipe this morning. How could I have forgotten after the # of times we’ve discussed it.

I’ll probably be working on my article some more later today… I find it a lot easier when I can just do a piece at a time because I keep remembering things I should throw in here and there.

If his mom will leave him alone about the condition of his shoes he would have been done a long time ago!

I got my new kicks today, sir. Now I should have plenty of time to finish the write up!
