some pics...

Here’s a couple of pics of my laptop plugged in to the Haltech and running the software.

LOL: You can tell where your priorities are. The car can be programmed by a laptop, but you still have a tape deck :stuck_out_tongue:

…I am just jealous…

Whats up Jerrold,

Cars looking good, I’m still working on mine and it’s still up in limbo. Thinking of changing it to the ITR suspension (got a good deal locally). Whats next on you list?

-Erwin

Erwin, yeah I’m thinking hard about ITR sus also. What kind of deal you got out there? And if you don’t mind, I’d like to be second in line behind you if you don’t want it. BTW, I just wanted to thank you again for checking out those wheels for me. I lowballed him because I really didn’t want a bent wheel, even if it is Mugen. But thank you anyways, I really appreciated your help. Hope all’s well out there for you.

Jerrold

I hope this goes through: Full ITR suspension(new Kyokugen lugnuts, caliper rebuild kit, new pads, TEIN HA’s)and choice of Championship, Gunmetal, for $2000 or for $500 more 16 TE-37’s. This guy is still undecided as whether he will purchase another Honda. I told him to get a WRX or something:D I take it you didn’t hammer out that deal with the Mugens. Something better will come along, it always works out like that. If this deal doesn’t work you got dibs but I think he is leaning towards another R.

Make sure and hit up RyanK before going to all of the trouble. He might be able to save you guys some aggrivation.
J.

J. , what kind of aggravation??

parts wise aggravation

and knowing what works and what doesn’t. namely for the front setup.

hmm HA’s are nice… well so far for me anyways… and yes hit up RyanK for JDM DA LCA’s he’s the man for em.

Creepingdeath:
That was kind of what I was referring to. The fronts are probably the biggest pain in the ass, and every DC coilover configures up a little differently. The Teins are probably the most common x-over set-up, but if you can find a set of N1’s, I highly recommend them. Now, I know for you already have a set of WS for your DA so Teins probably make the most sense. The 5-lug conversion is just a huge PIA. You end up not using anything but the Hubs if you do it right. The Knuckles have so much positive camber and awkward toe its not worth the trouble. I’d hate to see someone buy a $2000.00 converesion so they can use $1500 worth of parts.
HTH,
J.

J., thanks for the info. I’m really into the conversion for the brakes. I suppose the Fastbrakes ITR upgrade would do it for me. I’d like to run with nothing larger than a 15" wheel, and most of the 4-piston upgrades with the exception of the Fastbrakes Wilwood setup, require at least a 16", most like AEM or others require 17" wheels.
AP Racing has an ITR 4-piston kit that will fit a 15" wheel, but that would take some work to fit on a DA. I believe you mentioned there was a bit of work involved in getting the Spoon calipers to fit. Are you using stock rotor sizes??

I’m running a 2-piece rotor that Brian(fastbrakes) made up for me. There is no 11.3" 4x100/ 4x114/ 5x114 rotor that can be re-drilled with the proper offset for Spoons. You’ve pretty much got to run some kind type R/ Prelude hub in order to run 11.3’s or buy something from Brian. I love my set-up, but its definetly not the most cost-effective way to run 11’s. For the $ I love the Brians new Wilwood upgrade. The Spoons provide incredible feel, but even I wonder if they’re worth over $2Gs’ by the time its all said and done. There is a 4x100 upgrade from Spoon that will be available soon with wheel spacers and all. They also offer some upgrade for 4x100 rears and I will be investigating those soon…
hth,
J.

J., if you could post about the Spoon 4x100 upgrade when you learn more about it I’d apeciate it. Or email me privately with the details. Thanks. BTW, do you know anyone who has done the Fastbrakes Wilwood upgrade on a DA?

Do you any of you guys have a write up pertaining to the DA? Or could you list what parts are needed to do the swap correctly.

.J.- What doesnt work about the positive camber??

I have the full 94 up suspention on the front of mine ( spindles hubs, forks, shocks, axles, jack shaft, etc…) and the only things that I couldnt use was the upper and lower control arms…

With a specialty automotive ball joint camber kit for the upper DA control arm, it fixes the problem. ( +4, to -4 degrees )

Just my imput…

just curious

why did you use the DC front knuckles? the geometry is way different compared to DA knuckles…

Oh, and a 5 lug write up is in the works.

I used them, because the setup that came with it…
Prodrive hubs and skunk2 extended lug studs, stage 4 axles, with the accord v6 outter cv’s (36mm instead of 32mm)
Mainly for race purposes…

word.

That’s cool, I was just wondering…

First for the obvious security benefits, and now necesary since ingress/egress from the car with the Sparco bucket would be impossible with the wheel permanently attached.

Never say impossible. TakaKaira.com - contact with domain owner | Epik.com

Yes I’ve seen that hub before…so impossible, no. But for nearly $300 dollars not including shipping, my hub is a more cost-effective solution. And offers better security.
