sound system issues

i just installed 2 jbl 12inch subs that are 1000 watts each with a 100 watt jbl sub. im running 4 pioneer speakers on the doors and behind the rear seats with a pioneer deck. problem is, when i turn up the volume i still get bass coming out of the 4 pioneer speakers and it drowns out the music (the subs still perform well). how do i stop the bass coming out of my small speakers? i just want the subs to supply the bass.

What model pioneer cd player is it?on some models you can adjust the high pass and low pass that goes to your front and back speakers.

im not sure what model but it has this “fie” feature and it takes the bass out of the front speakers and puts it in the rear speakers but the speakers cant handle in the bass like the subs can

Nick we talked about this at the meet.
We have to get some other problems figured out first. I told you I would be happy to help you.
You just gotta come on down to Lakewood so I can help.

oh yea! sweet. well i got to get a bunch of wire and connectors first. i have a feeling that the whole sterio needs to be re wired. whats youre number?

My # is posted in the meet thread. I’ve got a bunch of wire and other stuff laying around,
you would only need about $20.00 bucks in other stuff that you can get at any auto part store,
So get in touch with me, come on down and let me take a look, then we can go get the stuff you need and get this handled.

bass blockers would work

yeah, or some crossovers from amazon.com/ebay.
You run the main wire from the stereo to the crossover instead of to the speaker. Then run a new set of wires from the crossover to the speaker.
Takes out all the bass signals from the speakers you have them connected to.
