Sounds like "loose change" under valve cover at cold start-up

Every now and then before I leave for work i’ll pop my hood to check the oil before I leave. As of recently its been starting to sound like some loose change (best way I can describe it) under the valve cover, I havent felt any power loss, or seen any drops in MPG. A friend told me It could be because my valves need to be adjusted. Anyone have an idea what this could be?

i second that thought, most likely your valves need be adjusted.

THanks, Think im gonna do that this week, hopefully it stops

i have the same problem. I have adjusted my valves twice and i can still hear this sound. I’m stumped, but the motor still runs great.
