can anybody help me with speaker size? i looked at hondahookup and it said 6.5 but i measured the hole and it was 5 1/4 im not smart with electronics so could anybody tell me the size to buy? or maybe what ones you have so i can get ones i know will work. also i have a kenwood deck
The stock speaker for G2s is a standard 6.5" for the doors and the rear, sedans use 6x9s in the rear.
Do not confuse standard 6.5" with over-sized 6.5" speakers the diff. is all standard 6.5" speakers use a 5" diameter mounting hole, over-sized 6.5" speakers use bigger then 5" diameter mounting holes and they are all a little diff. 94
PS stock mounting depth is 2", although there is another 3/4" of clearance if you cut a hole for the magnet in the back of the stock speaker housing.
A standard 5.25" speaker can also be used, mounting holes will be in the stock housings. 94
