Special Bulbs for One-Pieces?

Hey, do the one-piece head lights need special bulbs? Other than the 9004, and the H3? Some yoyo on e-bay is selling hyper whites for the one pieces, and I wanted to make sure whether or not you really needed them. He called them h3h headlights.

yes the one pieces have different headlight bulbs. he’s not a yoyo… :wink: they use H4H bulbs. some members buy H4 bulbs (because they are cheaper) and modify them to work.

but do they still take the same ol’ 9004 for the main light (high and low beam) and then just use h4h or h4’s for the fog?

no… H4H IS the headlights for the JDM One piece. the light output is MUCH better.

add: jdm lights do not utilize the 9004 bulbs.

I don’t own the one-piecers but I beleive that the H4H/H4 is the main bulb

do you have one pieces? once you get them, you’ll see.

yes they have high and low beams. fogs are just H3. with a yellow “condom” thing that makes them emit yellow light.

corners, same = 168 or 194 wedge bulbs.

USDM–> 2 corner bulbs (one for position, one for blinker).

JDM –> only one corner bulb. they don’t use the other corner bulb, but you can leave it hanging or wire it to a sidemarker if you like.

I have a pair of 1 piece and they have both high beam and low in an H4 bulb and the fog is a standard H3 but don’t use a high wattage bulb or it might melt the plastic housing. The wiring is very standard as well you just match the colors the adapt the new light plug.
