What Color Are Majority Of The Plugs On The Engine. If There Cream White, It’s Obd0. If They Are Grey, It’s Obd1.
OK, I’m obd0. So If I go with an obd1 usdm ecu I’ll need just the cenversion harness correct?

ive got a b16 tranny in my set up with a chipped ecu, and ive hit +/- 135 and it still wants to pull

Who chipped it? Is your ecu jdm or usdm? Dammit I wanna get rid of this speed limiter so bad. I know I could reach #s like that even with my long geared tranny.

origonally it was a USDM GSR ECU. i sent it away and $497 later, i got it back.

is a b16 with ls tranny that bad? ive ben wanting to talk to someone that has it.
i dont like b16 tranys myself ive had oneand i could only take people out of the hole and after 3rd gear everyone left me, even my moms stock integra
(i had b18a1/b16 tranny,in a 88 crx hf) but yea it had some torque the motor was stock but i had act stage 4 clutch and extreme pressure plate and throw out bearing.
id rather have a ls tranny or maybe a lil shorter but b16 is too short(5k rpms at 55 mph in 5th gear) fuck that , beats the hell out of the motor tryin to keep up with cars on the freeway , plus if u have strate pipe like i did it it waay loud.
I have a GS tranny against a B16 & trust me it SUCKS. No real power until 5k and it takes FOREVER to get there. I shift from 1st @ 7500rpm and land in 2nd @ just under 5k, that sucks ass.
You, having a B18 against a B16 tranny is not going to be that fun because as you said 5k @ 55mph sucks. You have too much torque for such a short tranny, thats where the LS/RS/GS tranny comes in handy, longer gears giving you more control over your torque & power.
