can the front bars fit on cars with abs… i was searching some guys said they sell obx bars…and that obx bars fit… but i looked on the site it says for non abs… can someone clear that up for me thanks

ok so I have an strut bar fromm speedpeople because they’re local to me (youngstown OH) and uh it barely fits on a non-abs car I think the bar sucks and it rubs like dick on my dashpot and thats what I hafta say on that

I bought a front bar here from X-wheels in cincinnati. I had to remove the bracket that held the wires in place outside of the abs unit. I then disconnected the wires and snapped them back together over top the wires coming outside of that fuse box there next to the abs unit to keep the wires up and out of the way. I did file the bar underneath right where the dashpot is about an 1/8 of an inch. Just enough to see light between the bar and the dash pot. I had a buddy race the engine a couple of times while I watched to make sure there wasn’t any rubbing. The bar does its job just fine without causing any problems. I will try to get pics of what I did.

esnyder, what kind of bar was that? I have an Ractive bar and that’s exactly what I had to do to install mine too!
Not too impressed with the rigidity of it, but it did help a little! And for the price, I’m not going to complain!
