I just installed a Clutchmasters Stage 3 Clutch and Aluminum flywheel on my car yesterday. The problem is that my speedo cable isnt working anymore. I pluged in back into the tranny and I felt it snap in. I put the clip on it, and proceded to see if the speedo would register, which it didnt. I then pulled the cable out to see if it was frayed or need to be greased, neither of which were a problem. What could be the problem?!!?? I used to search function and I didnt come up with any relevant info.
the cable itself can slide back and forth and could have pulled out of the back of the instrument cluster. it has never happened to me before but i have seen a lot of posts about it.
Are you sure that your speedo sensor seated back in the tranny all the way. You have to wriggle it from side to side while pressing down on it to make it drop all the way in.
Did you also make sure to put the 10mm bolt back in that holds it in place??
Did you make sure to put the clip for the cable on the right part?? It is kinda hard to get the cable to seat all the way in there sometimes and you have to move it around until you see the indentation where the clip is supposed to go.
I would assume that you didnt get the sensor to seat in the right spot. That is a really common problem.

I payed $1300 Canadian for the clutch and flywheel. My name is kinda deceiving because Im not going with the b16 anymore. Ive decided to stick with the b18a for a couple of reasons.
Ill mess around with the car today to try and get the sensor in. This biatch better work soon!!
