Come on guys, be jealous of my wicked fast AT&T U-Verse speed
… Wtf?
I was downtown the other day and being that I recently switched over to ATT, I wanted to test my speed … I was getting like 8Mb down and 2Mb up. LTE service was treating me well.
Damn. That’s absolutely the worst speed I’ve ever seen
Dude that’s damn near 9600 baud…
I was trying to upload 3.9gb of pictures to my Zenfolio account and it told me it was going to take 42 hours. I stopped the upload, came to the office this morning and it took a little over an hour. I’ll be lighting AT&T up shortly. It’s not ok in any way.
what alleged speed are you paying for?
Up to 12 Mbps… apparently.
“up to”…betcha they adopt a “too bad, don’t care, not our fault” type of attitude.
I hate AT&T’s home service.
They double billed me for an account when I moved (transferred services, previous account didn’t get shut off for 2 months). They sent it to collections and I fought it tooth and nail. Got me nowhere. I despise them.
Sounds about right. That’s the kind of reception I got on the phone, until the call dropped of course. But AT&T’s 4G network is amazing! :roll:

I’m only paying for 25/10, so I guess that works fine for me. :shrug:
I don’t upload massive files on the daily, and have only been downloading a lot of stuff in preparation for my lil’ trip coming up. Other than that, it’s pretty much forums, fark, email, facetube, etc.
ETA: The above is with Reliable Hosting’s server. If I use Comcast’s Baltimore server, it drops DRAMATICALLY. No surprise there–Comcast is fucking worthless.

Things have improved slightly after a couple of visits and phone calls to AT&T.

After 4 years of shit speed in AK, I’m enjoying this.
