Hey, I want to take my spoiler off but before I do, I want to get the plugs for it first. I know there are a lot of threads about plugs for the spoiler but everyone only says “just go to home depot and get the plugs” but they never say what size it’s supposed to be. I don’t want to take off my spoiler, measure the plugs, put it back on, buy the plugs, take off my spoiler again then install the plugs. So I figured I might as well ask you guys here if any of you know the size of the plugs I’m supposed to buy. So if anyone knows the size of the plugs I’m supposed to buy, please let me know. Thanks
The ones I used on my DA a while back can be found at Pepboys, AutoZone, and probably other auto parts stores. They are made by “DORMAN BODY-TITE!” and are called rubber bumpers. Their size is 1/2" x 7/8" and for part number they’re either 45623 or DORMAN 701-953. I happen to have a pack sitting in front of me and I hope that was enough information. Here is even a direct link to their website http://www.dormanproducts.com/p-9872-45623.aspx
Oh wow! Thank you! I’ve had this thread up for a while now but no one ever replied. Thanks! I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks. Quick question though, do they come in a pack of 6? Because I checked autozone’s website and it said it’s a pack of 6. So I’m assuming the hole size is 1/2". Thanks again
The one I had bought had 4, but they probably have different variations. I’m guessing 1/2" is the hole size, last DA I had plugged the spoiler holes on was 2 years ago. I’ve had an FA5 for 3 years now, but I recently got another DA and will probably throw on the GSR spoiler I’ve been holding onto. Also, I would suggest putting a thin coat of silicone on those plugs to prevent any water leaks.
Glad I could help.
Just want to confirm I just bought some of these at Pepboys they were 1.99 for 4pk. I was informed by autozone that they didn’t carry them. But that is most likely bs. Good find and once again G2ic for the win.
