spoon stroker kit

What are everyone’s opinions on this kit…would reliability be a concern? I noticed that the stroke is 1.8 millimeters shorter than a b18a/b bottom end. I havent checked but im willing to bet that the stroke on this kit is the exact same as a b18c bottom end.

how would this perform in a b16a bottom when used in conjunction with or without a z10 block girdle?

it is the same as the b18c internals. 1,180 bucks is kinda cheap so it is probley just b18c internals with a spoon headgasket. the setup would give you better low and midrange but the top end will be shitty after 6500rpm. you are better off buying a b18c5 shortblock from the dealer for $1800. im more interest in the crower b18c stroker kit that bumps it up to 2100cc

you can get a b18c5 shortblock from the dealer for $1800 ???

this is a bare shortblock. basically it’s only the block with crank and rods installed… . NOTHING ELSE like the oil pump, oil pickup, oil pan, thermohousing, oil cooler, water pump… . im sure you get the point now.

if youre looking strictly for displacement- wy not buy a CRV longblock for like 1000-1400? especially compared to the prices fo the other 2 options mentioned, it makes sense to me.

The kit was made for the B16B, where the block height is similar to the B18C. Using this kit in a B16A would most likely cause your pistons to get up close and personal with your head and valves in a bad way.
