can someone help me??? my trunk sqeeks sooo much thats its irritating me. i tried the tape deal listed but i didnt work. anyone have any other suggestions??? help a brother out~thanks
I had the same probs.
At first I thought it was the rear trim that was moving and squeaking. After pulling this off, loosing one clip and putting it back on again the car was squeeking more than ever.
I then looked at the rear shelf (the thing that sits between the 2 stock rear speaker’s). I’ve got 6x9’s mounted on this thing and because of that it’s a bit heavier than normal.
You know how you’ve got those 2 slidey clip thingy’s that hold it in place?? Well these were a little loose. So I got some electrical tape and put a couple of rounds around the plastic bits on the rear shelf that sit under the slidey clips. Then I slid the clips back on tight. Guess what… NO SQUEAKS!!!
