squeaking noise outside car

When I drive over on humps or bumps I can hear a sqeaking noise outside the car, but when I’m on flat roads I don’t hear anything. So I’m thinking its the shocks, is it?? I’ve got all stocks right now and planning on lowering it soon so i think it’s good idea in doing it sooner.

I think it’s normal with our generation tegs. Mine does it all the time, I think the sound is coming from the back. Some say the shocks, some say dampeners, just turn up the music and it solves everything.

I think it could also be a warped rotor grinding against the pads. I know I got one in back like that.

Yeah, i get a faint squeak coming from the back too whenever im on these s*itty roads around here. Maybe ill get the rear struts replaced in the spring and see if that does anything.

My squeak was coming from a busted front lower balljoint.

It took me about a month to figure it out, I saw that all the grease had leaked out of the torn boot while i was under the car changing the oil. No grease = no lubrication = metal to metal contact…

If this is whats causing your problem, repair it as soon as possible unless you want one of your front wheels to instantly adjust itself to -45 degrees of camber while youre driving on the highway.

chassis lube

I have the same annoying squeak from the pass/rear. In my case all part were working fine, but the suspension bushings needed lube. I bought an over the counter silicone spray and soaked all the bushings. No more squeaking, except for that annoying rear hatch!

My squeek is from the rubber stoppers on the hatch rubbing against the metal. A common soution in the CRX world is to use the soft side of some velcro on the metal where the bumpers touch.
