starting problem !

I have a 90’ Integra that won’t start… Everything was working fine until after four days of just sitting there, I try to turn it on, but the battery was dead so I gave it a jump start and it would kick but it wouldnt turn on … It seemed like if no gas was going thru… I dont want to just say f it and buy a fuel pump! I want to see if theres any alternatives…

Main relay maybe

1 charge the battery.
2 look in the oil fill hole while someone is turning the car over to make sure the cam is turning. If it isn’t turning the timing belt is broken.
3 check for fuel pump noise with key in on position / fuel pressure at the filter.
4 check for spark on all plugs.
5 check to make sure the plug did not fall out of your clutch petal housing . The plug is the same as the one on the brake petal housing that causes the brake lights to stay on. If it is broken the clutch switch does not work.

If none of that finds the problem, good luck.

Ok so it turned out that my battery was no good. I tried starting it with another battery and still no luck!! It turned on while running i diconnected the battery and my car shut off! So im thinking my alternator is bad ! If it were to be my alternator will that cause no spark ?

Do you have a voltmeter or multimeter?

If you do, its easier to diagnose that way than just guessing. Cheap ones can be had for under $10, online, or at Harbor Freight ~$6.

Basically, you need a charged battery, or a jump start, and you have to measure the voltage at the battery with the car running at idle, and again with the engine shut off. Only way to do this yourself, or get the car to a part store that will test the battery and alternator for free.

i don’t understand. so you got the car running then? orrr…
