Starting Problems? Fuel Relay Can Be "Repaired"

I’ve seen many posts on this board about starting problems related to the fuel relay. Thought I’d throw my $ .02 worth in. As the relay gets old the solder traces on the circuit board develop tiny cracks from the expansion and contraction during hot and cold cycles. If you want to “fix” your fuel relay, take a soldering iron to the connections and traces on the circuit board. Don’t over cook the components but just lay down some new solder. I’ve got the same relay in my '89 Civic Si and my '93 LS. Both have been refurbished this way.
