Starting problems

I’m having some problems with my 90 GS (stock - manual tranny) - sometimes, it just doesn’t want to start. The battery and alternator check out fine, and if I wait 5 minutes or so the car will usually start (sometimes, I have to pop the hood and fiddle around with the battery cables and spark plug covers to get it started). It happens pretty randomly, but it seems to happen more when its been sitting out in the sun. I’ve also tried higher octane fuel and fuel injector cleaner as well. Any ideas on what it could be, and cheap ways for other possible causes?

Thanks in advance!

If it’s happening more when it’s hot outside, it’s mostly the Main Fuel Relay… Do a search, this subject has been discussed a lot lately!

check main fuel relay, ignition coil, then igniter. common problems. try a search
