alright guys tax refund is within sight so its finally time to finish up a build ive had goin on for quite some time now. i havent posted anything about my build on this forum ( kinda new here) but i am building a high compression LS to drop in my 91 DA. build consists of so far:
B18B1 block bored to 82mm on factory sleeves
82mm USDM spec P73 pistons with hastings rings
factory B18B rods with arp rod bolts installed and align honed
factory B18B crankshaft that has been knifeedged and rebalanced
this is where im looking for some guidance. i have the ability in my budget to do one of two things. i can either throw cams springs and retainers at my otherwise factory B18A head i have laying around… or a buddy of mine has a jdm gsr head with jdm 98+ spec itr cams ferrea valve springs ti retainers and ferrea factory replacement valves and a blox intake manifold with less than 1000 miles on the head since parts installed. if i decide tothrow cams at the ls head i think i wanna put brian crower springs and ti retainers and brian crower BC0023 cams. problem is im not exactly sure which way is going to put me farther ahead because i can do either one of the choices for almost exactly the same cost. so help me out here guys point me in the right direction and help me finish my build.
if it makes a difference the motor is gonna have eithere a 50 or a 75 wet shot running thru it as well
