My powersteering is acting up lately. sometimes my steering wheel is not aligned but the wheels are straight. i was thinking maybe my rack and pinion is loose inside where the steering column connects into it. I dont really know. Sometimes its hard to steer sometimes its not. i was thinking maybe its my power steering pump is bad. I just flushed my power steering fluid last 2 days ago but it didnt work. Now im thinking I`m just gonna change my rack and pinion. :shrug::shrug: any one has this problem?

maybe check to see if the bolts for the rack to the chassis aren’t tight.
could be the teeth in the rack are messed as well
that was what im thinking too i just checked it the driver side steering column its loose also the boot are both gone need to replace it ASAP. Also my ball joints are messed up. ill check it thoroughly tomorrow morning.
sounds like you have more than one problem there. if the inner tie rod boot is torn, it’s possible that the gear has been damaged. severely worn tie rod ends could definitely cause steering issues as well
ok i checked it this morning i found out that the bushings are gone plus im missing some bolts. Im just gonna change the whole rack and pinion. I know it will cost me some money but I dont mind. well time to work on it this Wednesday morning.
