Ok, Was wondering if there was a certain year made that came without Power Steering?
I want to convert my 1992 Da to non power steering.

all integra had power steering, you can take a non power rack from a 88-91 honda civic/crx and use that. this is what i have done to mine i love it, have to turn it more times but i like the extra more under the hood.
yea thats what I thought… :bawl:
Yeah, I used an EF rack in mine. It is more turns lock to lock, but Quaife does make a quick steer kit to solve that issue. http://www.autotech.com/quaife/index2.htm
A lot of people who remove the power steering are just looping the power steering lines on the rack instead of using a manual rack. I prefer the actual manual rack because it is much less of a mess and is also much lighter. I may eventually get the Quaife setup for mine, but I’ve been holding off due to the cost.
Yeeh I had one in my EG makes a huge difference. My price on those are good so I think I might pick one up this next week. Well I need to find a EF rack so I can get it out to get powdercoated haha
Oh, also, use the DA inner and outer tie rods with it. On the passenger side where it has the circle bushing that wraps around it, the EF rack is a little smaller, so I used the EF bushing and wrapped the DA bushing around it as well.
do you have pcitures of this… Maybe I should research this a lil more haha. I havep plenty of time but I need to get my facts start.
does the EF rack bolt right on?
Yeah, basically. The three main bolts on the drivers side go right in and then on the passenger side you just have to double up the bushing that wraps around it so that it is snug against that bracket.
simple enough. id love to swap in a manual rack but the bigger turn ratio is whats stopping me. that would suck considering my car is a lapping car and the quaife kit is way to overpriced!
