Steering Wheel Ignition Lock

It’s a bit complicated to explain but I will do my best to describe the situation as accurate as possible.

Long story short, had my car towed and I haven’t driven the thing since last month. For security reasons I’ve rotated the steering wheel so that it locks up. Now I’m trying to start the car but for some reason the steering wheel won’t let me disengage the locking mechanism.

I’ve rotated the thing at every angle with the key in the ignition trying to budge and unlock but it felt like it’s stuck. I’m really concerned at this point whether I can ever get my key to turn over the ignition but it’s obviouslly locked in good somehow.

any ideas or solutions that’s causing it to be that way?

try to squirt some wd40 in the key hole and slide the key in and out. use lots of it. work the ignition and see if it wont break free. if that fails, its time to pull the entire igintion harness. break open the key cylinder and find out if a spring or rod has broke. keep me updated.

wiggle wiggle!!

Wiggle and WD-40 it is!

UPDATE:

iT ACTUALLY WORKED/HELPED ALOT, THANKS!
