I currently have the Alpine CDA 9884 deck- I bought it in combination with the speakers, which came up to $340 in total… Alpine is pricey but I’ve only heard good things about it, and I can’t really complain about my deck, except that it doesn’t have USB functionality (hence I can’t listen to stuff from my phone), however it does have I-pod connectivity, so that’s a plus…
Paid almost $300 and worth every penny(10 stars out of 10). My Bluetooth phone connects automatically everytime I enter the car (no more tryin to drive and stick shift at the same time) It's completely handsfree it even has caller I.D right on the screen. The sounds mutes the radio automatically and comes thru the front speakers. And I'm using my I-pod Touch with it as well.
I have and will always use Pioneer. I have had a 4100? SterEo in the integra for 7 years now and the only problem Iv had is with moisture getting in the car and messing up the cd reader but thats not pioneers fault. I have a 6 something in the IS. It’s the model right before they switched to multi-color displays.
I just got a JVC KD AVX11.
Bluetooth/Ipod/satellite radio ready. DVD with 2.7" screen. Picked it up for $200 BNIB. Nothing like watching a movie in an enclosed space with full surrond and subs. Need to pick up an external monitor - screen is kind of hard to watch on since it’s so small.
I stand by anything kenwood. Nothing but quality. I have a MP738U. Very good deck sound wise and has plenty of cool, yet simple features. The buttons light up redish orange, so it blends well with amber. Also, plays ipods via rear usb connection (what cd player doesn’t now). Anything kenwood from the eXcelon product line is awesome; including horsepower sensing G-force calibrations .
