still having problems....

ok couldn’t get off the damn crankshaft bolt. tried everything short of a pound of C-4 and nothing, so i was gonna put the damn car together and take her to get some house air put on that a$$…

now the damn car won’t start… it initially cranks but won’t fire for a start… i took it all off and made sure everything was tdc put it back together and nothing…

my water pump is shot and that is the reason i am doing all of this… the bearings went out so it was making some kind of racket. i also noticed when it was apart that the timing belt is loose, did the damn water pump cause this, or could it cause a loose timing belt…

any advice would be great… looking for a new perspective and some experience… i have done alot of stuff to the car and i have a helms and haynes maual. i am stumped to why the car won’t start.

oh and i ordered the moroso tool from summit to do it myself, especially if i can’t get it started up… i do not want to pay for a tow truck!

when you said your belt was loose, how loose?

its tight on the right camshaft side, but it is a little loose on the left side.

i mean a little by the fact that when i crank the crankshaft with my wrench (counterclockwise) it acts like it is gonna skip a tooth on the belt, that just doesn’t seem like it should do that

any ideas…
