that bothers me too …i wonder why exactly …
It says a stock Mercury Cougar does a 16.0 quarter mile but I know a few people with stock ones like mine and they all run low-mid 15’s, so what kinda crap are they getting on with? And my integra runs faster than the cougar and it’s completely stock(except it has had a huge weight reduction and a few little things like bolt ons under the hood)
thats the worse comparison ever…
explain
it also depends on what kind of tires they are running on …i really doubt they are running drag radials or slicks or anything like that …
the chart’s wrong, ok. your car is faster than stock cougars ok. Whats your point? It has nothing to do with stock 1/4 mile times man. Are you trying to emphasize how wrong the chart is? Cause it seems to me that youre comparing your car’s time w/the chart. Thing is, as you said, cougar time on that chart is wrong, street cougars are “faster” but are you racing these specific ones that run mid 15’s with their drivers? If not then its really an illogical fallacy. Just cuz you beat a cougar, and a cougar runs mid 15’s that doesnt mean ur car is under 15’s unless its the same car and driver and condition so its even more wrong to use this to prove you car does not run the time at that site if it were stock. not bashin on you or anything, just doesnt make sense. timeslips says it all.
i just dont see the point to your comparison cuz your car is not stock, against cars that can run mid 15s but youre relating it back to the chart?
