stock 1/4 times

found this just browsing the web http://www.albeedigital.com/supercoupe/articles/0-60times.html

why does every website on time say the 93 is faster then a 92 gsr? im confused

i dunno maybe slight differences between years. Added or reduced features with the car which may effect the weight of the car IE AC ???

just a stab in the dark

Meh, the AC system is like 50 lbs, which would never be as much of a difference as .2 seconds in the 1/4.

I bet anything they had the different years tested by only a handful of magazines, the results were posted on the web, and everyone else uses the exact same numbers which is probably why they are always very closely related.

It’s all boils down to skilled driving.

hey i had a bone stock 91 teg, but I still whipping 92’s and 93’s tegs…it only depends what do to it and how you race it…also my year is lighter then both 92 and 93…also I still drag some g3 gsr’s too not bad…want your car to be fast email me…i’ll give you some secret tips…

Year & Model (0-60) (1/4 Mile)

1990 - 3Dr GS - 9.2 - 16.8
1990 - GS - 8.9 - 16.6
1992 - GS-R - 6.8 - 15.4
1993 - GS-R - 6.5 - 15.2

im kinda confused about the two 1990 times? both GS, and the 3dr is slower? im assuming the one that isnt 3dr is a sedan.

give me secrets :read:

the GS has much lesser power than the LS and the RS…because GS comes in with ABS which makes a GS less power…they still have same HP…but GS has ABS which is on the way, which makes the car slower than LS and RS…in addition the 4dr are much heavier than the 2dr if you haven’t notice it…

I wish I could understand that.

Someone fill in the blanks please

90 3dr LS
90 4dr LS

91 3dr LS
91 4dr LS

92 3dr LS
92 4dr LS

93 3dr LS
93 4dr LS

Pelase?

but yeah, that whole thing about the 93’s being faster than the 92’s has been a mystery to me for a while.

and no, the GS doesnt have “much lesser power than the LS and the RS because of ABS.”

do you smoke rock?

This makes no sense. My stock 90 RS automatic is way faster than this 90 GS and I don’t pretend to to know squat about driving other than stomp the pedal and keep it between the lines. :auto:

still confused as hell…why would the sedan be faster? we’ve established the fact that its heavier. and they are both GS. so same motor, same interior, same everything. cept more weight. confused.

no way the sedan is faster than the 3dr… i raced one at the track at palmdale… the car “LS” was in excellent condition with only an intake and exhaust… My car “LS” only has an intake and exhaust also…
sorry i dont have the time slips with his times on it but i only have mine.
we also removed, Back seats and whatever was in the trunk.
:burnout:
1st run - smoked him… i ran 16.24
2nd run - smoked him again… ran 16.33

after the 2 runs we switched cars…
1st run - smoked me…i ran (in his car) 16.82
2nd run - got smoked again… ran 16.73

this is from my experience

form the assembly line every car has a different amout of power when i first got my 92 i raced it stock and i was passing others that were stock

bwahahahaha
:rofl::up:

I read(in g2ic)that the gears in a 93 gsr are a little diff. then the 92 gsr,I belive it was just the 3rd and 4th gears, but I could be wrong,or what I read could have been wrong. So if thats true, thats why there could be a diff.

you’dd be wrong… I remember when I bought my GS-R new in 1992 that the reason I got it was because of the quality of the product and the fact that it was only a tenth or two slower thana 5.0L mustang. At that time, teh mustangs were testing around 6.5 0-60 times and the GS-R was running 6.7 0-60 times… SHWEEEEEEET!

simple, they just had a fat guy driving the 92, and a skinny guy driving the 93… :hmm:

bwahahahaha
