Stock DC Struts w/H&R Race Springs on DA

My friend recently swapped out his stock struts w/H&R springs for a set of coilovers, and now they’re just sitting in his garage doing nothing. My car is still on stock everything in terms of suspension, and I was wondering whether his set would work on mine.

I have read the article on the hybrid suspension, and I know that I will need DC front forks in order for this to work. However, my main concern is that when he had that setup on his car, it had dropped around 2.5" already, causing him to nearly tire tuck on stock 15" DC GS-R wheels.

Considering that the DC shocks are already approx. 2.5" shorter than the DA ones, would this mean that the net ride height would be ~5" lower? Or am I missing something here.

I do not really have any concerns about ride quality, as I prefer a stiff setup over anything else.

TL;DR Can I use stock DC struts with H&R race lowering springs on my DA without the entire car going down 5"?

Thanks for your time and considerations.

I have a 4" drop on my DA9, (came that way) with Tokico BLues & COilover springs… I’ll tell ya what I would not go any lower… 4" is almost too low and I have to pretty much hit every sppedbump and driveway entry & exit almost sideways depending on how steep or tall.

I have more than one time seriously thought about raising it up an inch or so. 5" would be rediculous to consider IMHO unless you do not care about banging your cat or possibly damaging your oil pan on a speed bump.

That is just my .02 cents I do see 240SX & DC all over the valley with crazy drop rates like that… most DA that I see are pretty much stock.

I am not considering a 5" drop, i was just wondering if that specific setup would cause me to go that low
I wouldn’t really go more than 2" on stock wheels anyway
