As I get older and older it seems that I have a desire to make my car look more OEM but still have performance at the same time.
Where can I get a OEM dual tip and a look alike OEM muffler that has a little exhaust sound to it. example: an RSR exhaust sound. AND still keep the 2 and quarter diameter piping?
I probably can get the dual tip from the junkyard but I wouldn’t want the stock muffler.
I’m right with the OP. I want something quitter than my Skunk2 fart can buy I would love to keep the larger piping. What are some options for resonators? What would be considered a quiet resonator?
This is the exact same setup a member had on his DA and he said it sounds just a bit louder than stock when cruising but opens up to a throaty sound when going WOT.
MagnaFlow 14816 Street Series Polished Stainless 3.50” diameter
MagnaFlow Hi Flow Cat 2.25 inlet SS
MagnaFlow Resonator 2.25 inlet 18” long
Exhaust – 2.25” piping all around
He has a pic of this setup on his Black DA somewhere on the forum… too lazy to search for it now… sorry
go to a local muffler shop and get a magnaflow welded on. then choose the tip you want they usually have a bunch to choose from that look like the stock tip.
I’m thinking of doing this but first what resonator is good for this muffler. Quiet when idling but roars in high RPM. Like the sound of a Cone filter intake sound.
i have a magnaflow muffler, honestly its the best sounding muffler ive had, and i have had quiet a few. i was going to put it to the stock tips aswell to stay under the radar. but instead i just have a single tip
it says 11226 universal muffler. sorry no sound clip. but i have a dc header header gutted cat a glasspack resonator then to the muffler its a nice mellow deep tone.
