any advice on getting the factory exhaust bolts off to put an aftermarket one on? mine are pretty rusted and wont budge…but ive been letting it soak in wd 40 for an hour now…any other advice? thanks.
dremel…cut the things off :o) i use a dremel for everything, well, not quite.
Do you still need the boolts after you get them off? If not, then cut them off.
umm you can try taking your car to a muffler shop and have them just loosen up the bolts with their air tools. if not get a long ass pipe and stick that on the end of your rachect and use it as a breaker bar.
Dremel, I swear that is the answer to a lot of problems.
in my experience, any bolt on the exhaust will either break lose or break with just a ratchet and maybe a wrench on the end of it. all of the bolts around the cat seemed to come off easy enough on my car(sort of-long story). grab a couple beers, and let the beer muscles do the trick(j/k). just keep workin’ them, i got them off on my NY car, i’m sure you’ll be able to get em’. good luck.
